The word prayer expresses the largest and most comprehensive approach to God. It is an intimacy between you and God through Jesus Christ. 

Prayer is a form of communication, which establishes a relationship between you and God. The more time that you spend with the Lord being fervent and effectual in prayer, you will begin to see that prayer does change things. The more you target specific things in prayer, with the authority of Jesus' name you will recognize the power of prayer; and you will see miracles, healing and deliverances taking place.
